
A perfect day is worth 100 points. A perfect day includes:
- 30 Meal Points: You earn 6 points per meal for eating five fully sanctioned meals. No snacks between meals. (download the FYT food list here!)
- 20 Exercise Points: You earn exercise points by doing some form of exercise for 20 minutes per day.
- 10 Water Points: You earn your water points by drinking three liters of water per day.
- 15 Sleep Points: You earn your sleep points by sleeping for a minimum of 7 hours per night.
- 20 Transformation Points: You earn 10 points per day for practicing a healthy new habit and another 10 points a day for eliminating one unhealthy habit.
- 5 Communication Points: You earn your communication points by being in contact with at least one teammate and at least one opponent each day. (phone calls, text messages, and emails count.) Also, once at least once a week each person needs to post on our blog ... a meal idea, inspiring story, fitness ideas. etc.
Exceptions:
Each week, each player gets one meal off in addition to one day off. The meal off and day off may be taken at any time during the week. They may not be saved and carried over into later weeks. (Please note the day off is actually recommended to help with your metabolism...so you can still enjoy pizza night with your family or some wine with your girlfriends!)
Your day off includes a respite from all the rules. Don't want to do it all at once? The respite may be spread throughout the week (ie: Monday could be your water day, Tuesday can be your habits day off, Wed .. you get it).
Bonus Points:
You can also earn a 10-point bonus each week by turning in your scores to your team's scorekeeper by a designated time.
In addition, each week, a bonus equaling 20% of your points earned for the week for losing 1% of your body weight. (Note: if loss is not a goal for you, you must set yourself a fitness goal for which you will win your bonus points and inform your teammates and opponents in advance of the beginning of the game.)
Penalties:
- There is a 10-point snacking penalty for snacking between meals.
- There is a 20-point collusion penalty. (ie: don't suggest to an opponent that they eat a snack just so you can eat one ... I really don't think this is going to be an issue, but it was listed so I am writing it!)
- There is a 25-point per portion alcohol penalty. A portion equals any amount of alcohol up to 6 oz of wine, 12 oz of beer, or 1.5 oz of hard stuff. (One portion of alcohol may be consumed with the meal off without penalty and freely on the day off.) If during the week a player fails to make their fitness/weight loss goal they lose the privelege of alcohol for the remainder of the challenge.

Team 1: Amber, Brittany, Michelle, Sam, Sheila, and Wiesje
Team 2: Banu, Jennifer, Loretta, Melissa, Natalie, and Tiffany
- Talk to your team members and come up with a more clever name than 1 & 2.
- Each needs to choose a score keeper (FYI: I am going to set up a Google Doc for tabulating scores)
- It is HIGHLY recommended that you have weekly in-person meetings (in addition to the daily communication). Let's set a goal of having a team meeting each week and getting at least half of the team to attend. (You should make it your personal goal to attend at least 2 of the weekly meetings). Weekly meetings could be held at a Starbucks or on a running trail! (if you are long distance or a flight attendant & can't commit to at least 2 meetings make other arrangements with your team to ensure you are supporting each other as needed!)
